These 90-minute, monthly gatherings are offered in a cycle corresponding with the six poetic meters. The six-month sequence runs from April to September. You may register for one class or the full cycle of six.

Registration is limited to 25 participants per class.

Spellcasting


The Spellcasting Circle is a monthly, online community for poets, witches, and everyone in between. In this unique ritual experience, you will write your own intentions for the coming month guided by Annie and supported within the space she creates. You will learn how to illuminate and charge your intentions through the transformational magic of rhythmic words. Each circle teaches a powerful, versatile tool and blesses your month’s intention with skillful, ancient magic.

The Spellcasting Circle is appropriate for new and experienced spellcasters alike. Suggestions for what to wear, what to bring, and how to get the most out of the circle will be sent to registered participants in advance of each monthly gathering.

Spellcasting Session 3: Trochees

Each month, join poet and teacher Annie Finch for this online, guided circle designed to help you reconnect with yourself and your intentions. Come as you are—curious, tired, joyful, uncertain. There’s space for all in the circle. Inspired by ancient traditions and Annie’s own personal practice, we will explore how the energies of the five sacred directions—East, South, West, North, and Center—can offer insight into your current life journey. We'll begin with journaling and sharing in a supportive environment. Then, using a poetic practice called Meter Magic, we’ll shape our intentions into a simple, powerful spell—a poetic “amulet” you can return to for strength and inspiration throughout the month. No prior experience with poetry or magic is needed. If you identify as a woman or gender-nonconforming, you are warmly welcome to join. Each month, you’ll receive suggestions on what to bring or prepare ahead of time, along with access to a private class space for participants.
